Crash rates for teen drivers in Florida are are really not good. They are known to have more crashes than all other age groups and many parents would rather that they NOT drive. For parents who really do have such strong control over their children, it may work.

It's typical for your teen to ask for privileges that come with adulthood while they avoid the attendant responsibilities. However, insist that they bear the responsibilities that come with the privilege or at least a part of it.

4) Let your teen know that they shouldn't race on the highway and let them know the risk they run if they do.
They should obey speed limits and traffic laws.
5) They must tell you where they intend to drive to with their cars. If you feel it's not in their best interest, advise them to use a cab instead.
